Description

SKY PIRATES OF SUBURBIAFawcett County - a place of high strangeness at the best of times - is under siege by Dream-Lands entities of all kinds, especially SKY PIRATES! Old fashioned pirates in a flying ghostly galleon! As the adventure unfolds, every kind of nightmare comes forth to menace the heroes before the final triumph - if the heroes indeed do triumph...SKY PIRATES OF SUBURBIA is a sourcebook detailing Fawcett County, a rural region where mysteries, soap opera stories and very weird Forteana are commonplace. A fully mapped and detailed location Eando Village forms one hub of adventures, along with another mapped and detailed nearby hamlet, Elmo's Corner. Encounters, many local characters, Federal agents, troublemakers and even the local National Guard are detailed as well as a bestiary of the Dream-Lands menaces. A throughline of a linear adventure is provided but this is just the exemplar of what could be an ongoing campaign set in this strange corner of the country. All the local families are detailed - head of family, friends and enemies - any legacy super powers some families may have, and many adventure and story hooks to bring the area to life not just for the Sky Pirates adventure but for any number of other adventures. There is far too much provided for any one story to include it all, and that is as it should be for any sourcebook detailing a geographical region. Then there are the maps of an area of the Dream-Lands for when the battle is taken to the enemy's home turf, to fight the Sky Pirates - and their mysterious queen! Also provided is a detailed 1d100 chart of Fortean Events, all taken from real Fortean reports. Finally, the focus for newly created characters in this adventure is on child and teen heroes - generate a local juvenile from one of the provided families with their ready-made loves and hates, see if they have a family power set they inherit, and embrace the challenge of avoiding the dread being Grounded whilst also fighting through a challenging adventure focusing on Dreaming super power!
