Since being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2014, Kadeena has often been told what she can´t do whilst showing what she can do. She wrote this book to highlight that challenges are not always life-defining and to celebrate that success can be found in many forms. She wanted to highlight the importance of a strong support network and shine a light on invisible disabilities. She believes that the first step to creating a more open and accepting society is a conversation, and by sharing her story, she hopes to inform and inspire others. A note from Jaleel: Becoming Disabled at the start of my adulthood was a real challenge to deal with physically and mentally, but it is something that has shown me how to persevere in other aspects of my life and how I can still achieve my goals in different ways - so this book really resonated with me. I believe other children will benefit from seeing not just disability represented in this book, but one that is not so visible to the eye.
