Über die Autorin/den Autor

Dr Niroj Maharjan is an R&D scientist at Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC), A*STAR, Singapore. He works closely with both academia and industries to develop innovative solutions related to advanced manufacturing, surface engineering, additive manufacturing, and repair. He completed his doctorate from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, in 2018 with a focus on laser processing of steel. Currently, his research work spans various laser surface processes such as peening, texturing, and cleaning as well as metal coatings. He is a chartered engineer (Institute of Mechanical Engineers, the UK), a founding member of the International Society for Intelligent Manufacturing (ISfIM), and a member of the Singapore Welding Society (SWS) and CoatNet.Dr He Wei is a research scientist at Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech), A*STAR, Singapore. He obtained his bachelor´s degree (chemistry) from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2001 and Ph.D. (2008) from University of Notre Dame in the field of surface modification for development of molecular computing. He also performed some postdoctoral work in Michigan State University and University of South Carolina on dye sensitized solar cell and heterogeneous bi-metallic catalysis, respectively. He joined SIMTech under Surface Technology Group in 2012. His works in SIMTech involves sub-optical meta-materials, micro/nanostructuring, precision electrical forming, ceramic/metallic membrane, and advanced cleaning process development with micro/nanobubble. He is currently a member of the TC 281 (fine bubble technology) of ISO.
